 I am pleased to express a few words of commendation for the valued service the Southern Mallee District Council receives from Murray Computer & Office Shop.

 Council came to rely on Murray Computer & Office Shop for most of its computing hardware needs since 1997. The company provided the hardware and technical support to upgrade Council's principal computer network servers for both the Lameroo and Pinnaroo offices. Advice received from technical staff from MCOS was critical to ensure Council brought the correct equipment to enable a seamless transition to new computer application software.

 Council has purchased Canon photocopiers from MCOS which have been linked to the computer network so many reports could be printed from the photocopier enabling further cost savings to be achieved.

 Murray Computer & Office Shop also provides equipment in service at Council's three community libraries and telecentres within the district.

 Council considers the access and support it receives from staff from MCOS as vital to our computer network performing efficiently and meeting the demands required of it by our staff. It appreciates that when a technician is required to travel into the district the needs of our Council are readily accommodated by the Company.

 At all times we have found in our dealings with Murray Computer & Office Shop that their staff are friendly and also willing to listen through the issues we raise and assist in providing solutions for Council to implement. Council also finds that MCOS readily work in with Council's provider of internet services which greatly assists in enabling this facility to be available at all times.

 Council is mindful that supporting a local business like Murray Computer & Office Shop will ensure that resources remain in the region that will further develop our communities in the years ahead.
